Inspire Me Thursday----HOME

click picture for a better view.
This piece was done on a 5 x 7 piece of watercolor paper. My husband actually "commissioned" me to make something for a friend of ours who closed on her new home ---a farm in the country---last week (Kelly is a realtor.) and this is what I came up with tonight. The colors in the scan seem to be a bit darker than the original. I am so happy with how the words came together in the end----Fairies sit enchanted by this beautiful house of hers.
Now I am going to sketch out a few ideas for some personal swaps I am doing with other artists I have been so lucky as to meet in blogland.
Sweet dreams, dear reader. :)

I just realized from your etsy shop that your'e the person who has the photo of the little hands and eggs! I hearted it awhile ago, and have a treasury all planned out about eggs, nests, and birds, and I was going to put that photo in! Watch for it (if I ever snag one). Love your work.

This is really delightful! I love the feeling of depth ou've created...the sky and mountains are great! The figure and her dog in the foreground contrast nicely to the painted elements. Very lovely!

I LOVE this! The lady with the sweet little dog on her lap is the perfect image for this piece...No house is a home without a dog!

I like the contrast in styles between the figures in the foreground and the landscape with house in the background.
