off kilter

Things have been a bit off kilter here lately so I apologize for unanswered emails and comments.
Days of sore throats and bad bad headaches, upset tummies and body shivers. We seem to be trading off, taking turns and not really having two days in a row of feeling good. Olivia and I were both yucky today but yesterday was decent. We spent time outside sitting on a blanket which we had so carefully placed on the prettiest bed of moss. And then to wake up today to a mild fever and more aches. Hmmm....I am close to a doctor visit and that is not a common thing for me to say. But hopefully (keeping my fingers crossed) this will all be soon behind us and we can move forward with everyone else into lovely Autumn.

Time in the art room has been limited of course but I did manage to finish up a few pieces started while at the beach. I haven't felt inspired since our return and though this saddens me a little I also remember other times like this and know it will pass. I have turned to reading books about "green" living and books about teaching art to children. I can't get enough of listening to Jack Johnson and coloring with Olivia. It is the simple things that bring the greatest joy, don't you think? Even when under the weather. :)
Have I mentioned lately how grateful I also am for you, dearest reader?
xoxo,

Love the work that you have done lately. These beauties are just so lovely. I could stare at them for hours.
I hope that you are feeling better soon, it is that season isn't it? My children are going through something similar.(tummy wise, and cold shivers)
Hope your days to come are free from pain and that you are able to rest comfortably.
I am grateful that you post even when you are not well. :)¥

I love these pieces... they really speak of the inner peace you must have been experiencing on your lovely get away...

What were they done on... Is it watercolor? Just curious.

You are a constant inspiration Trish... Thanks for that!

wishing you health & wellness...

I fondly remember the hours I spent with coloring with crayons with my little nieces. So sweet, and you hear the best little tidbits while they create. So glad you cherish those precious moments.

So sorry to hear you and Olivia are feeling under the weather. Seems like there is some sort of bug going around. Take this time to rest and take care of yourself.

Love the paintings.

These are three lovely pieces! I think it's very hard - and unrealistic to expect - to be inspired all the time. It's disconcerting, but you''re right; the empty spells do pass. Sorry to hear that you've been under the weather. I hope you're feeling better soon!

I hope you and your family are soon feeling "in the pink" again.
It is ok to not feel Inspired every day. Let yourself have that time. It is like recgarging a low battery. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are a creative person and that will never be lost.
