Here is a sneak peek of the finished piece (on canvas paper). I wish I could share more but I have these plans/hopes for it you see and well, to share too much, too soon would be a no-no.
and part of a second canvas paper that goes along with the first...And...
Do you remember the poem from a few posts ago? The "Where I am From? poem" ?
A blog friend left a comment suggesting that I complete an art piece to go along with the poem. Well, what a wonderful idea! The thought had never even occurred to me so thank you dear Corey for planting this seed in my mind. That is what I worked on this morning in the wee hours. A few tears were shed but as usual for me with art like that I was left with a strong feeling of peace and acceptance. Very healing.
And again I will show a small part of that two page journal spread because I may have a plan/hope for this piece as well. I took this photo just for the piece and I think Olivia is getting tired of me and this new camera especially when I try to control her espressions...here I asked for thoughtful/maybe even sad and she kept giggling and giggling. Finally I got the serious face I needed on the 20th and last shot of the night. A big thank you to my MIL who helped me pick of the mimosa leaves and put them into the jar!
Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a blessed beautiful Sunday!
