Miranda

This collage was done on the cover of an old book. It is 10 inches tall and 7 inches wide.
It was one of those collages that you haven't a clue where it is going but you just keep adding and adding until something clicks and you hear that inner voice chiming out, "ok, now you are done." It started with me attempting to clean my art space and while moving papers around seeing the bit of text from a book page that started with "Miranda dressed quickly. She put on her church dress of brown merino. It had been impossible to find money for a new dress...." I had to do something with it! You understand, right. The housework, just like I thought, did wait for me today.
Miranda has a place for love in her heart--a space empty and waiting-- and all around her love is being offered to her. what a lucky girl!

Just wanted to let you know that the altered meeting went great and was so laid back. I really didn't teach anything. It was more everyone sharing ideas and showing and telling. There were some amazing works of art there. Everything from goth dolls to small metal books and decorated boxes. Does it ever just blow you away how creative we as people can be if we just let ourselves?

And a reminder that the drawing is tomorrow morning. yeh! if you want to sign up to win goodies click here.
