Illustration Friday---Boundaries

In A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking writes:
"One could say: "The boundary condition of the universe is that it has no boundary." The universe would be completely self-contained and not affected by anything outside itself. It would neither be created nor destroyed. It would just BE."

The painting is 24x24. Acrylic and vintage images, graphite and red Stabilo. I've titled it, "We Are All Connected." The idea was originally inspired by watching my daughter and her friends play obsessively at string games like the above Jacob's Ladder. Around that same time I watched this video. And as the way with things that are put in that simmer pot of the mind, the two inspirations paired and the painting is the result.

If you're local, you can see the painting at Oddfellas Cantina in Floyd.
