amelia's tardis

One year it was there at the beach, to the left of the general store. We named it Amelia's playhouse then and made up stories of the little girl who played there. The next year the wee building was gone and so we invented stories of running across it again one day, when we least expected it. We would just blink and there it would be, perched in the shade of another general store in another state. Pennsylvania, perhaps. "Or, even better", she said, eyes twinkling, "Perhaps Amelia is like Dr. Who and that was her Tardis...where is Amelia now?"  And off went our imagination...

That's so sad that they tore that down...but, yes, maybe they moved it! I'm just assuming they tore it down because mine was torn down and the parts sold...windows, sink, etc. But it was cool while it lasted. L)

I love the way that you take flights of imagination with your little girl. I think it grows very interesting adults. Plus, children think of the most wondrous things.
