Illustration Friday--Fail

Inspiration-A failed relationship.

It actually all started with the through-the-viewfinder photograph of our dining room chair. Then thoughts of loneliness and an imagined character, Junius, started creeping in. He is missing Josephine who used to sit there by the window and he writes her a letter, reminiscing...

There are 2 versions. I couldn't decide on whether having the folds of her dress added to the piece or not. Which do you prefer?

Nice! I'm always a sucker for the potential of an empty chair. Well done, bravo!

Ooh, I like this concept and the coloration, your choice of images, etc... Very nice!
The folds add some depth to the image but it's an effective piece even without the folds. I can see why you had trouble deciding. It's such a subtle difference.

I love the cleaner image of the face without the folds of the dress. But honestly it is moving either way.

Gorgeous! Wonderful take on this week's theme. They are both so moving I can't decide which one I like best!

I am glad i found your blog! Your collages are amazing, it`s really hard to decide which one of these two I prefer...Perhaps I`m moving towards the number one, without the folds...I`s a bit cleaner. But both are beautiful!
