Marybelle above, along with her mouse Trixie (named by Olivia)

My art room is my haven, my sacred space. Sometimes I think it would be a grand idea to have a sign, a nice bold one above the door stating just that. :)
It is not a very big space but I love being able to close the door on the rest of the world and just be alone with my "stuff." Recently I moved all of my art "stuff" upstairs and have yet to get the room just the way I want it. I need to think of better storage options-I suppose I need to get creative. There is one wall that is organized however and that is the wall behind where I sit/stand and do my thing. See the little tabletop easel that my mom bought for me? Isn't it just adorable?
This is the painting I worked on last week for Illustration Friday {topic OPEN} but I did not get it in before the next challenge was posted. It is on a 12x12 canvas panel.
(big sigh!) Blogger is being frustrating right now and not allowing me to upload any more photos.

I will share more images soon.

xoxo,

I'm in love with the painting you did for "open" the monochromatic colors are achingly beautiful and the way you drew it makes me feel sad (but in a good way) more like I understand the sadness? Its like she is ready to let something wonderful go and she is okay with it. I am on this journey in my life. I am beginning to search for the courage to let go of art that will be dear to me. I will have to be brave and believe that these things that I let go to bless others will be replaced with sweeter blessings.

I want to thank you for your uplifting words that you send my way every now and then. My heart swells with happiness!

Tricia - just stopping in to say hi, hope you're feeling better. I just relocated all my art stuff too! Feel free to stop by and check out some of my organization/storage ideas. I did have to purge a lot for the move but it feels good to finally have a door. Be well :)

(P.S. Love your piece for IF 'Open')

Hi Tricia,
So exciting moving your creative space upstairs--I can't wait to see it when you are all moved in and settled.

That table top easel is perfect!

What a wonderful creative space you have. Mine is much smaller and currently looks like someone turned it upside down - it is a mess!
