and the days just keep rolling on by...

Goodness! Where does the time go? How is it Tuesday already? There must be truth to the saying that time flies when you are having fun.
I have some photos to share. The above is a painting started at the beach and finished recently. Actually I just glued the word "possibility" down and called it done. :)
Below is a journal page.

We held an apple cider and bake sale at our house on Saturday to raise funds for our local SPCA. Other homeschool families joined us and we had a blast. The kids made clever signs and we consumed way too much sugar.
Also, the local altered art group met at the library and the lovely, extremely talented Susan (who needs a blog! hint hint) taught us about polymer clay. She was so generous with her knowledge and with her clay and we got to play with transfers! So fun! I kept saying that and I apologize to those sitting next to me. I just couldn't help it. It was so fun! See, there I go again. I did several transfers and stamped into the clay and now need to make something with the pieces. I think I am going to drill another hole into top piece and make a bracelet with it...wire and beads....hmmmm....

But the thing that is making my heart sing this morning is the fact that I woke up early this morning and decided to follow my heart. I wrote about Ada. (I blogged about her here though I called her Ida Belle. )Her name now is Ada Belle Lily Esther, though everyone just calls her Able for short.
I am off to write again for a bit. Olivia is curled up on the sofa reading this book. (I am anxiously waiting my turn.) The author of this coveted book is Laini Taylor and you can visit her blog here.

Let us all strive to have a singing heart at least a few moments each day!

blessings,

The last line in your post really resonnates with me; I truly believe that we must choose to be happy. It's all a matter of how we perceive and react to the things around us. It sounds like you've had some good times that would naturally bring you joy. Your top painting is really lovely; I like the clean oval shape of her face and the big eyes. And all the other things... just great! The polymer clay looks like a lot of fun!

Your art is so interesting to me and I am eager to hear more of your Ada :) you inspire me to keep striving for my artistic dreams when I see that you are not giving up on yours!
