"I want to be magic. I want to touch the heart of the world and make it smile. I want to be a friend of elves and live in a tree. Or under a hill. I want to marry a moonbeam and hear the stars sing. I don't want to pretend at magic anymore. I want to be magic." — Charles de Lint
I stumbled across that quote yesterday and love it so. I wanted to share it here on the blog so that you can be inspired as I was. In searching for an image to go with the quote I came up with nothing that truly resonated but settled on a photograph taken last winter after a short rain. There must have been leaves on the pavement which blew away after the skies cleared to leave pale leaf shapes for me to find and marvel over. This quote has however inspired a painting and I hope to carve out time today to get Olivia to model for me and then hopefully I can get started on it. There are lots of projects in the "just started" stage in the art room but today I have FOUR solid hours in there. **contented sigh**
But please tell me, what are you, dear soul, up to today?
